AI systems · Environmental monitoring August 2026
Ecological restoration in a hydropower disturbance zone: AI identification with explainable plan recommendation
Hydropower construction leaves disturbed slopes that have to be brought back. This system turns acquisition, identification, risk assessment and plan recommendation into a single traceable loop — multispectral survey and ground sensing on one spatio-temporal baseline, semantic segmentation with published confidence, and a knowledge graph that recommends restoration measures and shows its reasoning.

Robotics · Security & inspection July 2026
A robot dog on patrol: one platform doing security rounds and safety inspection
Factories and industrial parks walk the same routes every night for security and every shift for safety. We put a legged robot on those routes — carrying a PTZ camera and running person recognition on its own GPU — so the round happens identically at 3am as it does at midday.

UAV · Systems integration July 2026
Putting a capture drone on the road: vehicle-mounted nest integration
A first-generation 7 kg capture drone, a bought-in vehicle nest and a ground station that had to learn to drive both — integrated, flight-tested and handed over as a deployable prototype in two months.

Industrial equipment · Maintenance engineering June 2026
Cutting outage time on large pump instrumentation
Two parallel engineering routes for a major power generator: in-situ protection so probes can stay where they are through an outage, and a purpose-designed tool and handling set for when they have to come out.

Product engineering · Diagnostics April 2026
From bench biosensor to roadside kit: industrialising an oral-fluid drug screening system
A saliva-based roadside drug screening system taken from proven concept to manufacturable design: two reader variants — one phone-tethered, one standalone with cellular — sharing a single sealed disposable cartridge, industrialised together with the test fixtures, packaging and pilot build that make them repeatable.

Product engineering · Consumer robotics February 2026
From working prototype to pilot production: a companion robot’s second revision
A desktop companion robot for older adults had proven its concept but not its manufacturability. The v2 programme rebuilds the power architecture, splits the internal buses, adds a hardware echo-cancellation reference and delivers a production-ready design pack.

AI · Platform engineering December 2025
TalkaFlow: scaling a multi-tenant voice-AI platform
One voice-AI core serving five product lines across three environments — an engineering programme to carry it from functionally rich to genuinely production-grade at fleet scale.

Robotics · Confined-space inspection October 2025
PR100: a tethered robot that inspects pipework — and retrieves what fell in
A prototype pipe robot with an articulating body, driven omni-wheels and a three-axis gripper, built to travel DN80–DN250 pipework, negotiate bends and valves, and come home safely when something goes wrong.

Robotics · Industrial inspection June 2025
A mobile inspection platform for hard-to-reach filter banks
An omnidirectional platform that carries the customer’s inspection instrument to filter banks anywhere between 0.15 m and 2.5 m above the floor, then scans a 700 × 700 mm window under semi-automatic control.

UAV · Airframe engineering May 2025
Rebuilding a capture drone around a full carbon-fibre airframe
Second-generation work on an aerial capture system: a new 13-inch all-carbon airframe, the launcher and battery swapped top for bottom, flight control retuned from the ground up, and joint testing against a purpose-bought target aircraft.
